In The Balance

Megan Mechelle Dalton and Ellis Pearce
Curated by Charlotte Ross

Friday 23rd February - Friday 15th March
Public Exhibition Opening: Thursday 22nd February 5-8pm

In the Balance is a collaboration of works from Megan Mechelle Dalton and Ellis Pearce. Inspired by land, sea, travel and finding the balance within all things.

The exhibited work was predominantly created while both artists travelled across Europe together and is influenced by the landscapes visited along the way. The overarching theme of balance is evident not only in the physical nature of the work but within the harmony of collaboration between two creative minds.

Megan Mechelle Dalton’s photography features towers of natural objects found during their travels, seemingly floating in perfect balance. Ellis Pearce has produced dynamic freehand paintings and framed cyanotypes reflecting on the constant movement of life on the road.

In the centre of the exhibition is a collaborative clay sculpture holding an arrangement of rocks and sea shells, bringing together the two artistic voices at play.

The work is Curated by Charlotte Ross and prints were produced by FreshAire LTD.
